Q: can this unit be buried outside if prep'd with necessary holes to prevent bouyancy and gravel surround, if not what comparable system can, thankyou

A: The basin can be installed with the necessary holes and gravel surround to prevent the bouyancy issues. However, I would caution that if you are located in a cold weather climate, you may want to take measures to prevent any freezing of water in your basin or discharge pipe that could cause serious damage to the pump.
