A: Per the owners manual, this kit requires a good quality 12 volt battery to gain maximum pumping time during a power outage. A deep cycle, 12 volt, 105 amp-hour marine battery or larger is recommended. A battery of this size will provide approximately 7 hours of operation in an installation with 8’ of head pressure. A: As long as you have enough room in your sump basin, any of the BATTERY BACKUP systems we offer would do a fine job. Our most popular brands in addition to Little Giant are the Zoeller and Basement Watchdog.
