I installed a Basement Watchdog three years ago thinking that my basement would always be protected from flooding.
The unit was operating perfectly, so I thought, until the significant rains I experienced last spring...my basement flooded after I dished out over $1000 in pump upgrades.
It turns out my pump had burned up months before and I didn't know about it. No alarms went off until the actual flooding. Carpeting, furniture and expensive electronics were ruined.
My plumber suggested the NexPump 5600AN. The AN stands for auto-notification. This dual pump system backup performs over 30 checks every 12 hours and exercises the pumps so they are ready to perform when needed.
Even if the system has a failure, Nexpump will call me on my cell phone and email both me and my plumber of any potential or actual failures.
This system is smart. It can't possibly fail, unless all of the messages, phone calls and audible alarms are ignored. It was worth the money to have peace of mind whether I'm home or away; I will know if something is wrong with the system.
I did a lot of research and this is the only system that does this kind of monitoring. It puts their competitors to shame.
Thanks, NexPump!
