Q: for my cabin i need a sump pump that will have a lift of 40 ft and less than 10 gaper minute. the distance is 42 feet. what size of discharge pipe will be needed and also a check valve thank you by Dave Higgins from Washington on August 06, 2011
A: The Pro Series model S3100 is the only sump pump we currently offer that is capable of pumping a 40 foot vertical lift (max. 50Ft.), however it will be pumping at approximately 32 GPH at that height. that pump requires a 2" discharge and check valve. by Jim, Product Expert
Q: What is a dual vertical sensor switch? by Mitch Miller from Montana on June 11, 2011
A: The dual float switch contains two large floating rings enclosed within a protective cage. Water will lift the bottom float by a 1⁄4, which will activate the pump. If for any reason the lower float does not activate the pump, the water will rise and activate the second switch. As the pump evacuates the water from the pit the floats will drop. The pump will run for an additional 10 seconds to extend the cycle after the lower float drops. Note: When mounting the float switch, position the bottom of the cage at the height you want the pump to activate. by Jim, Product Expert
