This Combination pump system earns our "Best" spot, mainly because it is really cool! This is the first pump of it's kind where you can monitor what your pump is doing any time or anywhere because it is connected to your internet.
The main pump is a beast and the back up pump is nothing to loose sleep over either. The best news, you should never lose sleep with a pump like this anyway. You can configure the pump to call, text or e-mail you in the event of any pump failure or power outage. No more sleepless nights or ruined vacations wondering if your pump is running.
This system also comes complete with the clear, quiet check valves that ensures quiet operation by minimizing "Thump" when pump stops. It is also set up so you can have two pumps to flow into one discharge line.

Piece Of Mind
Last year, after a significant amount of time and money invested, I finished my basement office. From my previous home I learned the terror of having a sump pump die and cause a flood not once but 3 times I was not going to let it happen again.
Since I'm a technology guy, I found it unacceptable that any solution I put in (battery backup etc) wouldn't have an Internet based notification system. After many hours of research it because clear that there is really only once choice PeakFlow iControl. I decided to order the PFIC-75C because it comes with both the primary A/C pump and the D/C backup, since I wanted my installer to also swap out my existing low end 'big box store' primary sump pump.
When the equipment arrived I couldn't be happier. The construction of the various components is extremely solid and well built. This is industrial quality construction that was clearly meant to outlive the home :) The controller is actually in two parts the main controller with pluggable wiring harness connections to the pumps and sensors, and the smaller controller panel. The smaller controller can be mounted directly on the main panel, or it can be 'extended' anywhere you like in the home, via standard RJ-11 (phone wire).
Of course, the main selling point was the network connectivity of the device. Since my home is already fully wired with ethernet, I opted for the wired ethernet interface. Simply plug in the controller into your network and the device grabs an IP address (DHCP) and phones home to PeakFlow. When this happens, you can retrieve the IP address from the control panel and access it with your computer for additional configuration (notifications etc).
While not a requirement, I configured my Internet firewall allow access to the PeakFlow controller remotely. This allows by myself and peak flow.com to access the device for additional configuration and monitoring assistance (this is a secure and authenticated communication, of course).
You can configure email alerts for any of a number of different events (backup pump running / tested, etc). In the end I have opted simply for a once a week notification of successful backup pump test result.
It's been a couple months now, and I am completely satisfied with the investment in this system. My basement is safe :)
