Q: Pumping gph is not my main concern. when the power goes out I need 6 to 8 hours of pump time. the pump can go on and off every 3 minutes. will a battery backup last that long ?

A: Your typical battery backup system will provide you with approximately 5-7 hours of continuous run time and 24-36 hours of non-continuous or cycling run time.
