| Sump Pumps Direct Recommendation |
| By Sump Pumps Direct |
This SUMPRO is a contractor grade sump pump that is built to last. Best used in heavy duty and utility applications.
It comes with both a primary 3/4HP motor and a 3/4HP back-up battery. The pump alternates power sources to ensure proper operation and wear. There is even an alarm switch to enable the second pump in the event the first pump fails.
Not only are the pumps reliable, but they are also powerful as they pump up to 5000GPH through a 2" inlet and outlet.
This is certainly not the cheapest unit available, but it can be considered one of the most advanced, reliable, and powerful combination systems we carry. |

| Worth Every Penny!!! |
| By Ari (Indian Head Park, IL) |
Don't let the sticker price shock you, this truly is worth every penny. I didn't know anything about this system until a neighbor of mine showed me his installation.
The contractor that was finishing his basement recommended this system because of the radiant heat and electronics that were going be to present.
A typical homeowner's insurance deductible is usually $1000 or more. Many of those policies don't cover flood damage and if they do, it will be a very expensive premium. So if there's flood damage, there's a good chance that the repair costs will be right out of your pocket.
If you do the math, a $3000 investment on a system like this could save you thousands.
What I like most about this system is the 2 pumps because they alternate every pump cycle. This really reduces the risk of a pump failure.
Think about it this way- each pump is only being used half the time. So after a year of use, the pump only has 6 months of use compared to a single pump system that is getting used all the time.
The high water alarm that is part of the pump guard offers peace of mind if a switch ever fails on the primary pump.
To sum it all up, I'd buy another one of these if I had a 2nd sump pit, and I'm recommending these systems to my friends and neighbors.
Even if you can't spend $3000 on the Platinum, they offer other systems that can get the job done within your budget. |
