Q: I have a superior sump pump mod. 92333 plastic shaft housing, somehow some pepples got into the base housing and tore up the impeller and housing. Do you and can you sell me replacement parts? I have the parts numbers if you need them.

A: I'm sorry to say that we do not sell replacement parts for our pumps. You may however, try calling Superior tech support at (800) 495-9278 for help in obtaining those parts.

Q: Pedestal vs Non Pedestal sump pump??

A: Pedestal sump pumps have become less common and manufacturers are making fewer of them every year.

Here are some advantages of submersible pumps.

If you want a pump that's quiet, less likely to burn out, and can handle a high volume of water, a submersible pump is the style of pump to buy.

Noise Level - The motor and impeller are underwater, these pumps aren’t as loud as a pedestal style pumps, that have their motor exposed above the sump pit.

Running Temperature – By having the motor below water, a submersible pump runs cooler especially during extended periods of use. Pedestal style pumps have no cooling fans, so their motor is cooled by the air around the pump, which is very ineffective during long run times.

Output & Solid Handling- Submersible sump pumps have higher outputs compared to Pedestal style sump pump. They're also able to handle solids that may be present that would otherwise clog a Pedestal pump.

 Superior stands by their products

I had written a review about this pump saying it was garbage because after sitting idle for 2 months it seized up on me. Within a week Superior emailed me saying they wanted to send me a different model that they felt was better suited for my slightly unusual setup free of charge, the pump was at my house 2 days later and after I installed it I realized they were right the new pump was a better fit for my system. After this experience with Superior I will definitely be a repeat customer and I hope that everyone that reads this will be also.

I bought this pump because of how efficient it is because I run it off of an inverter when power goes out. When I installed the pump in May it ran perfectly, it was quiet, very efficient on amp draw and it pumped out my crock in seconds. It's been dry in Wisconsin this summer so it hasn't been running at all so I decided to go and test it and it was seized up, all it does is hum! and it's only 2 MONTHS OLD!. I'm sure that I can get a replacement for free, but who's going to pay me for my time to replace this thing every 2 months and how will I ever be able to trust this product to keep my base... more
