Superior Pump Slip-On Check Valve 1-1/2"

Received my new pump last night and installed it this morning with a forecast of more torrential rain.
My old pump (not StormPro) had developed an intermittent electrical problem and I could no longer trust it to keep working during a storm. Pump failure would mean another big bill to fix a drowned heating plant!

I am a professional engineer and this little pump has almost twice the discharge as my old pump at the same horsepower. The ABS discharge pipe goes through a 90 degree fitting into an outside cistern and there was so much momentum reaction at the outlet that the pipe rose 6" when the pump was running I had to put a concrete slab on it to hold it down!

I can tell that I won't have any problems with this pump keeping up in a torrential rain.
I also like the design of the fully adjustable external float switch.
