Mechanical switches are prone to failure, most of the time your pump will outlast your switch. With this pump, you have less to worry about because it uses an electronic switch.
Basically, it’s a sensor bar that detects water. When it reaches a certain point, the switch tells the pump to turn on. With no moving parts on the switch, there’s less of chance it will get caught on a solid present in the wastewater.

I got on line and reviewed pumps. and came across the Sump Pumps Direct site.
I got a great pump and the best price I found on the net. The web page stated that it would be very easy to install.....they were right. It was very easy to install, and it only took an extra few bucks for a 2 inch pipe and a 2 inch check valve and I was back in shape in about hour or so.
I saved over $200 by doing it myself.
