Q: Does the Receiver for the WSA120 have a battery backup in the event of a power failure? by Richard Cooper from Pennsylvania on March 11, 2012
A: The receiver for the Wayne model WSA120 does not contain a battery backup. by Jim, Product Expert
Q: Jim, how far can the receiver and transmitter be from each other? I need to monitor 3 areas in our church and the distance could be as much as 400' away. by Rich Mellor from California on April 18, 2011
A: The WSA120 transmitter can be up to 150 ft away from the receiver. You might try going with Protected Home Basic Alarm Dialer, ModeBD-5000 and the Protected Home WaterSiren Plus, Model WS-04. While this system is wired, it will allow you to run the wires up to 1000 feet to a phone dialer that will automatically call any number to notify you of a flooding problem. The only drawback to this system is that the dialer will only accept one Water Siren. by Jim, Product Expert
Q: Jim, are there any sensors that can detect water or moisture in the surrounding area? Like a five foot radius? by Tom Spendlove from Michigan on April 07, 2011
A: The basement Watchdog model BWD-HWA will detect water only 1/32" deep when the alarm is placed on floor. Most of our other ALARM SYSTEMS can either be placed on the floor or the sensors can be on the floor to provide an alert system for any flood prone area. As you can see, we also have systems that can be connected to a phone dialer to call any programed phone number to alert you of a possible flooding problem. As far as being able to detect water that is, say 5 feet away from a sensor, however, I don't believe there is anything available at this time. by Jim, Product Expert

Huricane Season
When every local store was sold out I decided to check the web. And not only were these in stock I saved big on sales tax and got top of the line compared to the local dealers at a much lower price.

Wayne WSA120 Wireless Sump Pump Monitoring System
I bought this Wayne Flood Alert Wireless Sump Punp Monitoring System. This product has got to be a joke.
First you can barely hear the alarm.
Second, while the transmitter runs on battery, the receiver runs on electricity. Picture yourself in the middle of the night, the electricity goes off, the sump pump backs up, and your sump pump alert system is asleep with you.
