Q: Can anyone, without knowledge of electric connections, or plumbing, install the battery to an existing sump pump? by Claudia from New Jersey on August 26, 2011
A: Batteries such as these are designed to operate BATTERY BACKUP SYSTEMS. THese systems are installed as a secondary pumping system to your current primary pump. Very Pleased
The unit arrived in a very timely manner. I was not aware that the PVC fittings came with the unit as well. It's just as the picture shown on the web site. So that save's a trip to the hardware store. Very easy to install, and it works like a champ.

Great Solution
We had a 23 hour power failure and water got into our lower level because without power there was no pumping of the sump. I ordered the Wayne WSS30 and the Wayne 75 amp battery. Installation was simple and the unit drains the sump in a few seconds using either the regular pump or the back-up unit. FYI, I have an eleven foot rise. The only mistake on my part was not installing the system before the disaster. Worth every penny!
