Q: I need a reliable submersible pump to use to drain and acid wash pools. We also use Kieserite and sometimes Garnite to blast the waterline off pools so the pump needs to be able to pump water and kieserite (epsom salt) up out of the bottom of diving pools. Have used .5hp Sta Rite submersible but the pump only lasts 4- 5 jobs before it will not pump any more. Would like the pump to be able to pump down below 1" of water remaining if possible. A: No sump or sewage pump will be able to handle the corrosive nature of those chemicals. My only suggestion would be one of our CHEMICAL PUMPS. by Jim, Product Expert
