Yes, any application with a check valve will need a weep hole or air bleed hole drilled into the pipe between the pump and check valve.

Hi, I see the running amperage for the Pro Series E7055NS - 1/2 HP is 7Amps do you know what the start up amps are?

Answer
The running amps are 7.0 and the motor load initially is usually 2 times that for milliseconds but the Pro Series pumps are somewhere around 11 or 12 amps as they have PSC motor.
