Product QuestionsAnswered by Jim, the Sump Pump Expert
Do you have any sump pumps that can be left plugged in with or without water? I have a 4' deep pit that I want to have the water drained before there is too much accumulation.

Answer
All sump pumps with float switches, weather they are vertical floats, tether floats, electronic or diaphragm switches are designed to be plugged in at all times. The switch will only allow the pump to run when the water level in your sump basin reaches a certain level. Once activated, the pump will run until the water is expelled from the sump basin to a point that the "off" level is reached for that switch.
