I currently have the N57 and was wanting to get a backup in case it died I have one on hand ready to go. What is the difference between this model and the N53?

Answer
The 57 series pumps are ALL CAST IRON Construction while the 53 series pumps include a thermoplastic base and impeller. All functions and specs are the same.
