We have been putting up with the banging sound from a big box store check valve for years. The Camis is is the quietest check valve we have ever used. Complete silence. Thank goodness! Took only ten minutes to install. Quality materials.

I have bought Zoeller check valves before of similar design and this time decided to save the $5 due to the good reviews -what a mistake. They both drain back, one faster, one slower. Silent they are but big deal.

Very sorry to hear you're having problems with your check valves. The first thing I would check is to make sure the static head (over the check valve) is 10' or less. This check valve is the best check valve i have used. Being directly under my bedroom it has really improved my sleeping. I don't here the loud thump at the end of the pumping cycle.

I have used this wonderful valve before and yes in my situation I wore the first one out and hemmed and hawed on buying it again but was being driven crazy with the noise of my primary pump cycling valve noises.
In my opinion this valve will please anyone who buys it and I hope the company plans to continue to make these (and sell these) because they are easy to install and super quiet.
As far as your worries about valve lasting a long time I live on top of an underground creek (unfortunately) and my pumps are cycling most of the year. My best guess is you might be able to get by with this valve for 3 to 5 years depending on your situation. I know you are supposed to replace things more often but you know we are all trying to keep costs down.
Here comes the Spring season again! Start preparing now!
By the way I am ordering one of these today too to have another one on hand for my various pumps (5 total 3 in the pit...don't ask) and I wish I could have selected more "Pros" when you leave your review because obviously I would buy it again, It is High Quality, It was delivered Fast, It is durable and reliable too. Many thanks.

I'm 30 days into this thing and works great so far. True test of these check valves is reliability over time. But, I'm pleased so far. It's quiet and functions properly.

I am really happy with this purchase. The previous back flow preventer caused an audible noise. Our dog's crate, where she sleeps is right above the sump pump and it would wake her up. After I installed the Camis it is much quieter. Dog and wife sleep better and are happy!
