Good Replacement Pump

In 2006 our house and property was remodeled, which included a new backyard concrete patio. The landscapers said I needed a pump because of the drainage in the yard. It cost about $500 extra to have it installed. For years I had no problems with the pump. Well, this year in the middle of a rainy spell the pump died. I found out it was dead when the patio and an adjacent shed got completely flooded – what a mess!
I removed the old pump from the sump pit, checked its specs, and did some online research. After I knew what kind of unit I needed, I started calling around town to buy a replacement. Believe it or not, no one in town had a sewage pump with a 2 inch discharge pipe, which mine had. The pumps they sell at Home Depot, Orchard Hardware Supply, Ace Hardware, etc, all have 1½ inch discharge pipes. I did talk to one guy who said he might have something for me the following week, but it would cost almost $400 dollars!
I found Sump Pumps Direct online and they had a Simer sewage pump with almost exactly the same specs as my original pump. It cost only $144.99 with no tax and free shipping! It arrived on the day scheduled and I was able to use my existing 2 inch discharge pipe and install the pump in about 10 minutes. It fit perfectly! It’s also very quiet a lot quieter than the original pump. It seems well made and is a little heavier than the original pump. It has rained since I installed the new pump and it worked great no flooding! I went out and watched it work it quickly and quietly pumped the water right out of that sump pit, which is all I wanted to see happen. I’ve only had the pump for a couple of weeks, but so far so good. I’m hoping it will last as long as the other one, but now I know where to get a replacement if I ever need one.

I had a basement bathroom sewage pump fail and after reviewing several websites, ordered a new one from you based on competitive pricing.
The pump came VERY QUICKLY (a few days earlier than I expected) and installation was no problem for me.
I would not hesitate to order anything from Sump Pumps Direct in the future.....GREAT JOB!
